ABOUT VEMICO

Decades studying the microbiome. A clear vision for what comes next.

veMico is a UK biotechnology company founded in 2018. Our founders bring experience in microbiome research, prebiotic development, clinical investigation and ingredient commercialisation. Today, we combine this experience with proprietary discovery and ingredient development technologies to investigate biologically active microbial components and their interactions with the host.

OUR HERITAGE

From prebiotic innovation to host-centred postbiotic science.

Before establishing veMico, our founders contributed to the development, scientific evaluation and commercialisation of Bimuno prebiotic technology. At veMico, their work extends towards characterising biologically active microbial components and developing defined postbiotic preparations. VMK223 is the first commercially developed ingredient from this programme.

That progression — from investigating how prebiotics influence microbial populations to researching microbiota–host interactions and characterised microbial bioactives — explains the company’s focus today.
